music are not aware that many Salsa bands exists in their
own country. Did you know if you were living in Paris France
and tuned to a commercial radio station you hear the same
commercial Salsa artist from the USA? Yes, you hear Marc
Anthony, Gilberto Santa Rosa and a few of the classics like
Hector Lavoe, Celia Cruz, Tito Puente in Paris France. Yes,
we love the legends and the founding fathers and mothers
of Salsa and thank God for them who revolutionized Salsa,
but what about Deldongo? Who? I said “DELDONGO.” He is
from France. Why isn’t he getting airplay on commercial
mainstream radio in France?
Mainstream AKA Commercial radio stations worldwide give
the excuse that these artists are not on the top 40 Billboard
Chart so therefore they are not played. If they are not
charted they are not given airplay.

believe in Billboard charts. You see, it works this way…The
artist records a Salsa song whether it is a demo or
promotional song from any country or any planet and we play
it WORLDWIDE SALSA RADIO. That’s it. Is that simple! They
record it, we air it. Even if it’s romantic Salsa, we play it also
on Worldwide Salsa Radio.
Worldwide Salsa Radio will also support Salsa Artists that
records Salsa Romantica AKA Salsa Monga. You will get a
mix of Salsa and Timba on Hard Salsa Radio. Rarely, on the
playlist Salsa classics are rotated but seldom. 95% of the
playlist is dedicated to new artists.
When a Salsa Artist submits their demo or promotional song,
Worldwide Salsa airs it within 24 hours. You will hear it first
on Worldwide Salsa Radio. If the new song is Hard Salsa
format, it is rotated within one week on our affiliated
internet station “Hard Salsa Radio.”
