Hard Salsa Cable TV Show is a 30-minute weekly Television program airing on several Public
Access TV channels featuring new independent Salsa and Latin Jazz artists performing at
various venues. The program also features music videos. Occasionally but not often, the show
will showcase one classic performance by the founding fathers of Salsa and Latin Jazz including
Hector Lavoe, Cal Tjader, Tito Puente, La Sonora Poncena, Fania All Stars, La Lupe, Tipica 73,
Frankie Dante, Eddie Palmieri and many other the great Latin Artists and founding fathers.
The primary objective and mission of the Hard Salsa Tv Show is to showcase and support new
independent Salsa/Latin Jazz Artists both National and International bands that are not receiving
support by the mainstream media. The format will also include limited Romantic Salsa Artist
performances. Although the show is called Hard Salsa Show we will not neglect the independent
Romantic Salsa Artist who are also not getting support from mainstream media.
Andres Padua, founder of the popular 24-hour Internet radio station “HardSalsa.com” and radio
DJ for WHUT 91.9 FM NYC has taken Hard Salsa Radio to the next level with a cable TV show.
Padua claims there are no sitcoms or Cable programs supporting Independent Latin Jazz or
New Salsa Artists. Most cable programs he has watched in the pass only featured the great
Latin legends from archived videos and rarely new artists are showcased. Although he loves the
founding fathers and continues to support our Latin Jazz/Salsa legends however he feels more
exposure should be given to new talent.
In addition to live performances on the show, Hard Salsa Tv Show also features music videos.
