Nothing can describe the feelings of
over 200 attendees at Gonzalez Y
Gonzalez in New York City that
Thursday night of May 8th 2008 when
La Nueva Orquesta Dee Jay debuted
and took the stage. There was
cheering, dancing and emotions as
several shared tears of joy as they
remembered the days of the original
band when they performed 32 years
ago at the greatest venues such as
The Cheetah and The Village Gate.
Andres Padua of Hard Salsa Radio was one of the among sharing the tears
as he remembered listening to the band on the Symphony Sid Show and
Dick Sugar Ricardo Show at the age of 5 and did not have the opportunity to
see the band live. He waited 32 years and it was worth the wait. What was
most surprising for Padua was the number of Hard Salsa Radio listeners that
attended the show. It is definitely going to be the most memorable event of
his life. For those of you that missed the return of La Nueva Orquesta Dee
