EL Caobo (DJ and Radio Host)
| El Tornado Tropical Con EL Caobo |
EL Caobo is a premier tropical music, and
especially SALSA/MAMBO, DJ and radio host. He
is also an authorized representative of the
legendary Fania Records and West Side
Latino/Seeco Records labels. As such, he has
traveled to cities across the United States
(including the very cradle of salsa: New York City)
to share what he affectionately calls "salsa de la
mata" with clubs filled with very receptive
audiences of eager SALSA/MAMBO dancers!
'Salsa de la mata' is a term that El Caobo culled
from Jesús Pagán's album of that very name.
especially SALSA/MAMBO, DJ and radio host. He
is also an authorized representative of the

University of Chicago, WHPK, 88.5 FM (2 years). Both shows are called El Tornado
Tropical con El Caobo and stream live on the internet; as well as air on the FM dial in
Chicago. Additionally, El Caobo's shows are podcasted on Andrés Padua's renown
Hard Salsa Radio.
El Caobo is also a professional Spanish-English-Spanish interpreter/translator; with
experience as a court interpreter in both criminal and civil matters.
Lastly, but very importantly, El Caobo is also a Spanish teacher, with a degree in
"Teaching of Spanish" from the University of Illinois-Chicago.
