Guidelines For Submitting Your Music
Stop wasting your time and money sending
your music to Program Directors and Radio
DJs from mainstream radio.  As an
independent artist or a small record label,
your music will not get airplay on commercial
radio. There are hundreds of reasons why
your music is not be played on commercial
radio. Here are just a few reasons:
Before you mail your CD and Press Kit, please follow the guidelines below:

1. Music must be Salsa or Latin Jazz.  Please no regaetton and no
bachata.  Your music may contain light regaetton and some bachata
breaks but the majority of the music must be Salsa.  You may submit a
Salsaton song.  Romantic Salsa is also accepted.

2. We accept MP3 at least 128Kbps or higher.  MP3 must be DRM code
free.  Our broadcast system can not play MP3's that are DRM coded.

3. If you're sending an MP3 it must be tagged properly with The Artist
Name and The Title of The Song.  Example: Hector Lavoe - El
Cantante.mp3  Songs that are incorrectly tagged can result in the failure
of listeners seeing the name of the artist and song that is playing on the
listener's player. You can lose lots of CD sales if you do not tag your
songs correctly.

4. Offensive language in your lyrics is strictly prohibited. Your song must
be edited for profanity.

5. Email a photo in Jpeg, TIFF or Bitmap photo of your band or CD cover.
This is for the internet radio stations players and to feature the band on
the homepage of Hard Salsa Radio.
1.  You are not Marc Anthony or Jennifer Lopez.  Although your music may
sound better than Marc and Jennifer, it's a darn shame commercial radio
will not play your beautiful music that you worked so hard on.

2. You do not have a million dollars in your budget to pay 500 commercial
radio stations to get your one song played.  Did you know it can cost
literally over  $2,000.00 per commercial radio station just to get one of your
songs a few spins on the air?  There is something called Payola which is an
illegal practice by mainstream radio.  If you are not familiar with this illegal
